Pathway to the Present
I’m from Indonesia and currently studying Osteopathy. I love the Osteopathic concepts about body as a unit and how it has the ability to heal itself. I’m fascinated with body works, movement and therapy. I spend my leisure time doing muay thai, hiking, trail running, gymnastics, calisthenics and yoga. I did yoga teacher training in India and have been teaching in Bali and Darwin. Movements and exercises gave me awareness of body mechanisms, joints and muscle function. I was introduced to Thai massage and stretches from acro yoga practice. It’s left a strong influence on me and has become my motivation to study other therapeutic massages. My clients and yoga students are my inspiration. Having met clients with certain problems enriches my experience. It is a challenge to find the best solutions, and help with pain management.
What are my treatments like?
I find it is essential to communicate with clients, realizing everyone is unique and different. I personalize my treatments using certain skills and knowledge depending on individual’s need. The elements I might incorporate during treatments: Swedish relaxation, Thai, remedial, accupressure, trigger point, reflexology, hot stone, lymphatic, cupping, myofascia release, chair massage, pregnancy massage, sports (pre-event/post-event) & deep tissue.
What do I love about massage?
Massage is a natural way to recover without using medicine. I love receiving different styles of massages & understand how effective they can be in recovery. Massage is an art of healing.
